First normal Olympic games is played, then after Paralympic games.
Olympic is for normal fit and qualified players whereas Paralympic is for Disabled, Differently Abled, Physically Challenged, Viklangs & Divyangs.
Medal Tally for INDIA:
OLYMPIC: GOLD = 0, SILVER= 1 , BRONZE= 5 TOTAL= 6 and RANK = 71
PARALYMPICS: GOLD = 7, SILVER= 9 , BRONZE= 13 TOTAL= 29 and RANK = 18
In last some years, Prime minister Narendra Modi stated AMRIT KAAL n number of times. But if u analyse today's situation.. most of the sectors and ministries of GoI are performing average or below average.
UNEMPLOYMENT and INFLATION are the bigest challenges now.
But...But But, i am here to justify how the past 10 year period is actually a symbolic Amrit Kaal for Divyangjans.
It all started from 2015 when, PM Modi during a show of Mann Ki Baat at Radio coined this term and called Viklangs as Divyangs, and urged everyone to do the same. Since that, all govt notifications, boards, places in very short time, implemented it.
( U guys call call it ki nam badalne se kya hota h? Pehchan aur Samman badalna chahiye.. isn't it)
So let's see ki Pehchan aur Sammaan kaise badla!
Word Viklangs symbolises as Disabled, But word Divyangs points to Differently Abled.. means he or she is not disable, he is differently abled to do that work in comparison to us.. Because without having own hands own feet, own eyes, these people are doing all of their everyday jobs sincerely and happily. So how can we say disable to them?
Every media houses and powerful players welcomed this Modijis decision and Divyangs get little respect.
Another major Development happened in Infrastructural aspects.
In National Capital Delhi, 99% of central govts offices, Hotels, Hospitals, Museums, Parks and all places of National Importance have WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE which is built/getting functional in past 5-7 years.
All of the above mentioned places have SEPARATE WASHROOMS for differently abled.
Many buildings have LIFTS facilities for such persons.
In Delhi University, the college in which i was enrolled, having wheelchair accessible entrance in whole campus, from classrooms to canteen and library. Lifts are specifically installed for such guys only and female staffs are deployed in Lifts so that its being used for its purpose only. And i believe another colleges and institutions in Delhi also posses similar facilities.
For jobs, differently abled quota vacancy is so so good that even someone having good physique, do cheating by making fake divyanga certificate. Lacking is only at proper verification level. Jobs and seats are well good these days.
For sports, i think this article is only because of sports performance, so i don't need to focus on this sector.
Conclusion
Central govt is really doing well to make their lives better, to promote them in mainstream of society and to live proudly.
Lacking is from states side. State governments is not much bearish on the whole thing. If state govts starts promoting and awarding such differently abled talents in their states, then surely this will be the biggest revolution and people at everywhere will start giving respect to them.
