Know Your Videsh Mantri - Dr. Jayshankar 🤓

Today, as usual i was travelling in Delhi metro, and scrolling my twitter feed. Suddenly i got engaged with a tweet by @Ani in which our foreign minister Mr. Jayshankar was seen saying that, "Indira Gandhi removed my father as Union Secretary, he was superseded during Rajiv Gandhi’s time".

So i thought to know that who was his father. And after doing little research, the results was amazing. So i think we you and all of us should know about him, his family and his achievements. 

Krishnaswamy Subrahmanyam ( 1929-2011) [ Father of Jayshankar]

👉Youngest Secretary of the then govt ( 1979 Janta party govt )

👉Chaired Kargil war review committee 

👉Convenor of the first National Security Council Advisory Board

👉Declined Padma Bhushan in 1999, logic of declination: bureaucrats and journalists should not accept government awards.

Then joined Indian Foreign Service ( UPSC ). Served in several Indian embassies in foreign countries including Japan, US, Chhna, Singapore. In ministry of external affairs. Foreign Secretary of India in 2015. 

Married to Kyoko, Japanese. Speaks Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Hungarian and Tamil, English, Hindi. 

Currently serving as minister of external affairs from 2019. A Rajya Sabha member. Awarded Padma Shri in 2019. 

Such a great family, having so much contribution to India.
